Position Core Role:
Equipment Service Technician responsible for maintainingequipment.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
Respond to equipment emergency downtime, troubleshooting forroot cause and repair as needed. Complete assigned work orders and usenon-emergency time as efficient as possible. Support production members inachieving the lines run rate efficiency. Document daily activity andinformation in Equipment Management System (Maximo). Support weekendpreventative maintenance and repair activity. Support plant shutdown activity.Support new equipment installations and modifications.
Daily Tasks:
Repair and countermeasure to be done with machine anddetermine specs in mind. Report problem causes and countermeasures. Alwaysfollow safe work practices. Document all equipment activity in the EquipmentManagement System (Maximo). Respond immediately to emergency equipmentdowntime. Attend shift meetings. Production support and floor coverage.Carryover and follow-up from previous shift. Daily reporting of downtime andequipment modifications.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to troubleshoot and repair Robots, Servo Systems,Electrical Systems, Automated Machinery and Mechanical Systems.
Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulicprints.
Good computer skills.
Strong decision making skills with the ability to implementefficiently.
Required Experience:
Two year degree (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial) orequivalent equipment maintenance experience preferred.
Education Requirements:
Two year degree (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial) orequivalent equipment maintenance experience preferred.
Honda Factors:
Manufacturing environment.
Potential 5-10 hours of overtime per week, includingweekends.
Travel 2-3 weeks for training or other equipment issues.
Ability and willingness to work 2nd or 3rdshift.
