We are pleased to announce an opening in their corporate accounting department for the position of Accounting Clerk to specialize in Payroll & AP.

You must be able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities with professionalism. Good communication skills are essential to this person being successful. Proven ability to promote a customer service oriented and positive atmosphere when dealing with employees and managers.

PAYROLL: The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate time entry, import, commissions, incentives, and payroll bi-weekly. Process advances, per diem, Vacation/Sick leave balances and other deductions. Monthly you will reconcile the benefit invoices. Accuracy and timeliness is very important.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: Must be a self-starter, very organized and dependable. This position will process accounts payable, filing, and assist in running checks on a weekly basis. They will also act as backup support for other Accounting Clerks as needed.

Job Description:
Accountable for reviewing and maintaining John Deere transactions in our Accounting System and all items assigned to you in your Subject Matter Expert area.

AP Responsibilities:
o Process parts, warranty, and other invoices from John Deere.
o Reconcile John Deere Statements.
o Assist other SMEs with related tasks as necessary
o Work closely with Controller and Process Auditor to implement best practices and process improvements
o Other duties and special projects as assigned

Payroll Responsibilities:
o Calculate Incentive/Commissions accurately and timely
o Coordinate time approval with managers/employees
o Coordinate with HR to confirm benefits affecting payroll are processed timely and accurately.
o Process bi-weekly payroll
o Reconcile benefit payments/deductions: health, dental, 401K, etc
o Assist/process other employee related activities – travel advance, visa/expense report reconciliation
o Solid understanding of payroll and experience with running payroll for 200 or more employees.
o Experience using PAYCOM is highly desired.
o Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
o Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system.
o Provide internal customer service regarding the PAYCOM payroll system: Provide instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
o Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets.
o Gather data into spreadsheets and the payroll system - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
o Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company.

Job Requirements
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
o Ability to work in a high volume fast-paced work environment
o Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts payable, and budgets
o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
o Ability to use various computer programs specific to the position
o High level of attention to detail and accuracy
o High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
o 3+ years in an payroll clerk position is preferred
o Beginning to intermediate computer skills and ability to utilize all Washington Tractor systems with proficiency
o Ability to maintain a company insurable driving record


Physical Demands and Work Environment
o Working Conditions: Retail store environment, service and repair shop, and stock room. Exposed to various work surfaces both inside and outside. The work is usually performed inside, but exposure to various environments occur frequently.

o Physical Effort:
Frequently sit for long hours, concentrate on data, detail, screen viewing, typing, use of computers and office equipment with fine motor skills. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Travel
o Up to 10% driving or air travel.
