Machinist (Warehouse) - Full-time

On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is now accepting applicants for Machinist positions in the Savannah / Midway, Georgia area!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Setting up jobs on a variety of parts/machines and maintaining specified machine cleanliness, functionality, and dimensional accuracy using instruments such as veneer calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Layout work from blueprints, work orders, and other specifications.
• Calculate and adjust machine speed and feed, change cutting tools, adjust machine controls, and calculate the size and position of cuts.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines using hand tools and precision instruments.
• Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance is essential to this role;
• Must have ability to work various shifts that support a 24/7 operation.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience with CNC machines or experienced shop machinist preferred.

Hours:               TBD / Various Shifts

Pay Rate:        $22.00 – $25.00 / hourly; Depending on Experience.
