Job Purpose:
The Regional Manager will support the company vision through ownership/accountability for the overall sales, profitability, leadership, and effective operation of stores within an assigned region. The Regional Manager will implement company policies/procedures through District Managers, creating a fun, challenging and rewarding culture in their region. This region covers 181 stores, Boston (13), Michigan (13), Ohio North/Michigan (12), New Jersey South (12), Upstate NY (15), Times Square/Queens (4), Hartford (16), Long Island (13), Minneapolis/WI (10), Pittsburgh/Philadelphia (13), NYC (6), Baltimore/DE (14), Washington DC (14), Ohio South/Indiana (14), New Jersey North (12).
Deliverables:
* Oversee the assigned region's daily operations to ensure that company benchmarks for sales performance, profitability, shrinkage, and store presentation are met
* Collaborate with Loss Prevention team to reduce shrinkage within stores in the assigned region; partner with Visual Merchandising team to ensure a consistent implementation of Forever 21's vision in the region's stores
* Enforce that district and store-level leadership teams enforce payroll, cleanliness, customer service, merchandising, and training policies established by corporate leadership
* Ensure that all stores are properly staffed, including conducting interviews for district/store management and efficiently processing all promotions, transfers, employee conduct issues, etc.
* Oversee district/store management to ensure that team performance and customer service meets standards; provide accurate and timely employee evaluations
* Conduct store visits to drive a consistent brand among stores in the region, providing strategic insight to the Corporate
* Operations team based on observations in the field; act as liaison between the store/district operations and Corporate in all field matters
* Maintain overall responsibility for the staffing, training, development, performance management and retention of District Managers
* Oversee store openings, closures, and remodels as required; secure/maintain assigned company property and oversee company test programs
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
* Must have a High School diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
* Must have 5+ years of multi-store retail management experience; additional experience overseeing District/Area managers in a retail environment is preferred
* Must be able to effectively train and interview manager-level employees to ensure effective operation of the region
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective in time-management practices
* Must be willing and able to travel to stores within the region as required
* Ability to delegate, follow-up and maintain confidentiality
* Must have basic math and computer knowledge including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Must be able to enforce federal, state, and local labor laws; must adhere to all company policies, codes, guidelines, directives, and procedures
* Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., perform frequent repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
