About this job

A nursing technician in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at Blodgett Hospital acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs basic skills per hospital/unit guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Center (Blodgett)

* 35 Beds

* Population: Very diverse! Every patient population within Spectrum Health. Highest patient population: stroke, lung and heart transplant, bone marrow transplant, trauma/ortho trauma, limb loss, brain injury, VAD, and more.

* Orientation: Orientation is mandatory and done full time during the day Monday through Friday and the following Monday and Tuesday.

Scheduling Expectations:

This is a part time days position with the expectation of working 48 hours every two weeks. This position utilizes core scheduling. An employee will be hired into a permanent schedule that repeats every 6 weeks. The days and hours are already preset and cannot be permanently changed to accommodate a personal or school schedule. This schedule will not have the ability to drop below 48 hours per pay period. However, there is opportunity to trade shifts with other employees or take PTO when a day off is needed.

Basic Qualifications:

Education - High School Diploma or equivalent

Licenses - Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Education - 1 year college education including clinical experience

Experience - 6 months of recent, relevant patient care experience

Licenses - Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
