About this job

Manufacturer of metal parts located near Plainview, NY seeks an experienced Customer Service Rep.

The successful candidate must have previous experience in similar industry.

Main tasks include but not limited to:
- Process RFQs
- Take orders & enter them in system
- Release orders for fabrication
- Coordinate resolution of after-sale issues as required by customers or as assigned by Manager
- Prepare quotations
- Communicate capabilities and procedures to customers
- Provide order status updates to customers as required and communicate re-schedules when they occur
- Coordinate shipments of material
- Check orders before releasing to production
- After-sale customer service
- Other functions as needed

What our client is looking for:
- 2-5+ years of related experience
- College degree preferred, however not required
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Ability to read blueprints very helpful
