If this sounds like you, we are looking for a dynamic Retail Store Project Coordinator to join our NEW NAPA Retail Impact Store Project Team. This integral role on our Retail Store Impact Team oversees and manages multiple on-site Retail Store projects and manages multiple team members ensuring that projects steps are being followed. We need a super talent that loves project management, engaging other store team members with the process, and does this with high energy and enthusiasm for customer care with their team!  This fantastic role will report to a highly supportive Retail Impact Store Manager.

As a Retail Store Project Coordinator, a typical day might include the following:

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations and staff; monitor and prioritize workflow and schedules as needed and in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Oversees and directs workflow of the store setup crew to ensure store set up is completed on time and correctly.
  • Assist in managing the selection, training and development of staff
  • Verifies store plans with site conditions to ensure completed project will meet the specifications of the Implementation Team.  Communicates discrepancies.
  • Coordinates all systems installations at each project to include shelving, interior graphics, TAMS, and promotions.  Accepts all materials delivered from various vendors and installs
  • Sets all merchandise to current planogram book specifications including all sales area price labels.
  • Ensures leased material handling equipment and waste removal for the set-up is removed upon completion of the project
  • Coordinates with stockroom for merchandise, excess inventory returns (EIR), and class returns to the distribution centers
  • Provides timely updates to Impact Store Project Managers and ensures final walk-through is completed.
  • Maintains general cleanliness standards, both inside and outside of the store, ensuring fixtures are clean and in good repair, floor is clean and free of clutter, windows are clean and free of unnecessary slickers or signage and parking lot is free of rubbish
  • Manages safety for all on-site workers during the setup phase. Ensures workers are properly trained on safe work habits such as lifting techniques, ladder safety, and extension cord use
  • Demonstrates ability to perform the required duties of the job and other duties as assigned

 

What you’ll need: 

  • High School Diploma
  • Thrive off a fast paced and high energy environment and ability to work independently with self-motivation
  • Project management and managing people experience
  • Up to 1 year of previous retail experience with store setup, planograms, store fixtures, store changeovers or construction projects preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to all stores within territories.
  • Working knowledge of safety requirements preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills with persuasive abilities and high sense of urgency/project deadlines
  • Creative and able to manage time effectively
  • Understand trade-offs and be prepared to justify all decision making
  • Work performed in a retail store environment (sometimes under construction), with lots of time standing and moving from store to store
  • Love of travel – Local and regional 100% of the time – Some overnights
  • Demonstrated ability to merchandise product creatively to drive sales
  • Ability to influence at all levels and lead a team
  • Highly organized and keen eye for detail
  • Basic skills in Microsoft office
  • Outgoing personality with a positive approach to affect change

  • Experience in a Retail environment
  • Background and/or passion for the automotive industry * not required, but great to have. 
  • NAPA Know How
  • Courses or Degree in Retail Management
