Financial Audit Manager
Framingham, MA
Duties: Oversee operational and financial audit projects including compliance with laws and regulations at the direction of the Senior Audit Management. Review and evaluate all completed work, findings and recommendations for accuracy, adequacy and presence of sufficient supporting documentation prior to presenting the completed work to senior audit management. Work with the seniors to present audit findings to the audit director within the time budgeted and draft a formal report for the auditee. Train, monitor and evaluate staff ensuring proper training and development on the audit department procedures as well as the audit methodology and general practices. Conduct formal performance appraisals for assigned auditors and recommends appropriate salary movement. Work with the Talent Acquisition Department to attract acceptable candidates, performs administrative tasks related to staffing, and interviews candidates as needed. Participate in the development of new or improved audit programs. Analyze audit processes looking for opportunities to streamline audit work, maximizing value while minimizing resources expended. Plan and coordinate the scheduling of audits, both operational and financial. Coordinate the statutory audits and the quarterly SEC filing with the external auditors. Up to 20% travel to stores, distribution centers, buying offices, and offsite locations for operational audits on an as needed basis.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a directly related field plus two (2) years in an audit position.
Must have 2 years experience with each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Experience at a big four accounting firm.
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and application of GAAP
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley
- Performing store or distribution center physical inventory observations
- Auditing public companies
- Training of other auditors
