Job Description Summary:
Overall Responsibilities:
The Meeting Services Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards for equipment, meeting rooms and the public space areas within the conference center.

Non-Exempt level position within the Meeting Services Department reporting to the Meeting Services Operations Manager and the Supervisors within the Meeting Services Department.

This individual will be expected to follow our Mission, Benchmark Mosaic, Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 70+ pounds.
• Good communication and guest relation skills.
• Ability to follow directions, read and write.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
• Basic knowledge of chemicals and their uses.

Job Description:

Essential job responsibilities:
  • Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked at all times.
  • Proper utilization of cleaning equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of Atrium, east and west concourse, dusting, and vacuuming and furniture placement.
  • Dust all pictures and furniture in meeting rooms and public space on the conference center side.
  • Report all maintenance needs and special cleaning needs.
  • Practice safety standards at all times. Clean up spills immediately.
  • Constant awareness of safety hazards, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons) and report to Manager.
  • Responsible care of equipment.
  • Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, to maintain accurate time records.
  • Remain alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and co-workers at all times.
  • Walking and pushing 30-pound cart to specific rooms on upper and lower floors.
  • Must be able to bend and kneel to pick up foreign objects, and able to walk to vacuum floors.
  • Attend to any requests by guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all equipment with daily cleaning of all carts.
  • Attend daily stand-up meeting as well as monthly department meetings.
  • Assist in maintenance/housekeeping of all conference center areas as designated by management.
  • If needed, may be asked to assist in other departments outside of the conference center scope.
  • Must be able to work weekends when needed as required by business levels with all schedules/shifts subject to change.
