Mechanical Assembler w/ Forklift Operation

Performs a wide range of skilled repair/assembly and cleaning operations to build/rebuild both component parts and manufacturing equipment. Must produce quality products in timely manner; performs operations according to customer's needs, following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.

Essential Functions
  • Plans, Rebuilds and Assemble unique large manufacturing equipment from component parts, in accordance with standard operating procedures to customer’s specifications
  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions.
  • Assembly of large industrial equipment with unique requirements from job to job.
  • Use of hand tools, magnetic drill, grinder and air tools to assemble product.
  • Preparing layout for subassemblies.
  • Determining necessary tooling to be used for each work order and set-up if required.
  • Use of measurement devices such as tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.
  • Troubleshooting your own work.
  • Frequently working from an elevated position.
  • Operating a fork truck and all overhead cranes.
  • Entering work order information through terminals in the shop.
  • Following safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.
  • 3-8 years Mechanical Assembly experience
  • Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision
