About this job
The Learning and Development Manager creates and promotes a learning culture by guiding implementation of the company's learning strategy. With the assistance of the Capability Managers, this position is responsible for the design and development of interactive and engaging learning and performance experiences from inception to completion, in conjunction with subject matter experts, learners and business leaders.
• Responsible for the Organization’s performance management strategy and program
• Design and develop (either independently, or in conjunction with an external vendor) operational training
material for new hire and incumbent employees and leaders
• Guide the Capability Managers to facilitate a variety of learning events, including train-the-trainer programs,
classroom sessions and scheduled or impromptu (on the floor/in the field) training sessions
• Manage and support external vendors aligned to training development
• Work with the business leaders to measure the effectiveness of training and reports outcomes to the
leadership team
• Partner with other team members to ensure cross-functional training needs are identified
• Supports the rollout of business process changes & new technologies affecting associates within the organization

Requirements
Job Requirements
* 5+ years' experience leading learning and performance initiatives, across multiple functions within an organization
* Ability to draw from a broad background of experience in instructional design, digital technology, human psychology, technical writing, and interaction design
* Proactively think outside traditional instructional design boundaries and systematically experiment with new methods of providing learning interventions
* Strong proficiency with commonly used e-learning authoring tools
* Strategic vision with the ability to assess individual and team skills and knowledge within an organization
