Join us as we continue to grow at Advantage Solutions. We are seeking an experienced attorney to join the Legal Department in Irvine, California. The attorney in this role will advise Human Resources and senior management on compliance and litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant General Counsel position is under the supervision of a Vice President of the legal department, and is responsible for handling a wide variety of compliance and litigation matters including:

o Partnering with Human Resources in providing advice and counsel to business leaders;

o Proactively identifying and implementing compliance initiatives across all 50 states and overseas.
o Working on the company's strategic initiatives;
o Advise the organization about government regulations and legal obligations;
o Investigating and responding to charges from administrative agencies;
o Overseeing and coordinating discovery, brief writing and motion practice;
o Assisting support team in responding to subpoenas; negotiating settlements
o Working with and managing aspects of compliance and litigation matters, including evaluating, directing outside counsel, investigate and handle claims and lawsuits
o Developing litigation plans and strategies regarding discovery and legal expenses to ensure cost effective claim and expense resolution.
o Working with paralegal and third party administrator to manage general liability claims
o Managing affirmative recovery program

Qualifications/Educational Requirements
• J.D. from a top law school with strong academic performance.
• Member of the California State Bar and currently in good standing.

Required Work Experience
• At least 7 years of experience at top law firm or similar in-house experience in employment litigation.
