1. JOB SUMMARY

The Production Assembler (A) is responsible for performing any combination of the following tasks involved in cutting, stripping, formingand crimping of wires, cables, etc. for use in electronic assemblies.

1. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS

1. Crimps terminals to wires using hand tools or automatic machines.

1. Assemble harness assemblies utilizing harness boards or drawings.

1. Print labels.

1. Perform in process inspection.

1. Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, tinning, cleaning, epoxy bonding, stamping and color coding parts and assemblies.

1. OTHER FUNCTIONS
2. May be cross trained to perform all the processes of wire and cable assemblies.
3. May perform electro/mechanical duties.

1. Perform other duties when/as assigned.

1. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

1. Education:

High school diploma or GED.

1. Skills/Characteristics Necessary to Perform Essential Functions:

1. Read and understand drawings, manufacturing instructions, operating procedures to perform production duties.

1. Understand mechanical dimensions and tolerances.

1. Mechanically inclined.

1. Reads instructions, such as work orders, manufacturing instructions, drawings, wire lists etc., to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.

1. Have an understanding of the use of hand tools.

1. Physical Demands Necessary to Perform Essential Functions:

1. Lifting of some equipment and cables is required. Must have ability to meet maximum lifting requirements.

1. Ability to stand for long periods of time including bending and squatting.

1. Overtime may be required.

1. Work Environment
2. Safety shoes and eye protection required in some function areas.
3. 100% Electrical/Mechanical production environment.
