POSITION: Floor Care Technician                                                                                                                                

SITE: Various contract sites in Licking/Knox Counties


DAYS/HOURS: Up to 40 hours per week, Sunday – Saturday, 2nd or 3rd shift.  Must be flexible to meet business needs.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for traveling to various contract sites in Licking and Knox Counties to perform hard surface floor and carpet care, including, but not limited to:  buffing, scrubbing, and stripping and refinishing hard surface floors, and cleaning carpet.


REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass background check.
Employer conducts pre-employment drug screen.

Obtain and maintain security clearance.

Possession of valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet driving standards.


SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Must have good customer service skills and be able to communicate well with others.

Meet the established quality control standards.

Work independently and unsupervised for long periods of time.

Meet attendance standards.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Must have attention to detail.

Operate heavy floor cleaning equipment.

RATE OF PAY: $13.50/hr - Non-Exempt

Requirements

  • PAID TIME OFF (PTO) – Employees who work 35 or more hours per week will begin accruing paid time off immediately, according to hours worked each week (calculation of hours worked includes regular hours and PTO.) Time can be used after completion of 90-day introductory period.Calculations are based on the following percentages:1-4 years- .046154, 5-6 years- .065385, 7-9 years- .084615, 10+ years- .103846.For example:A new employee worked 72 hours on the first payroll.They would accrue 3.32 hours (72 x .046154).On the next payroll they work 80 hours.They would accrue 3.69 hours.Total PTO is now 7.01 hours.

 

PTO is used for the following Holidays:  New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  If enough PTO is not available on any covered Holiday, the holiday will not be paid.  If an employee works on a covered Holiday, PTO will not be deducted.  It is the employee’s responsibility to inform HR of their work schedule on a Holiday.  One unpaid Holiday:  Easter.

 

 

  • Short Term Sick (STS) – Employees who work 35 or more hours per week will begin accruing up to six (6) days per year which can be used after completing their 90-day introductory period.

 

 

  • INSURANCE – $5,000 Company paid life insurance after one year of service for employees who work twenty hours or more per week.Employee paid dental and vision insurance available.

 

 

  • RETIREMENT – 403b Tax Deferred Annuity available.  Employee contributions, company does not match.

 

 

  • BEREAVEMENT LEAVE – Up to 3 days leave for employees working 35 or more hours per week after completing 90-day introductory period.See Policy 6.06.

 

 

  • – Retail Store 26% (cannot use discount on new or sale items); Used Car Lot 10%; New Furniture @ Cost + 20%.
