Director - Retail Distribution Center - Full-time

Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Distribution Center. As part of this role the General Manager is responsible for the implementation of all company policies/procedures & employee safety. General Manager ensures company values and competencies are practiced throughout the facility at all levels. This individual will possess the ability to succeed by effectively directing, leading and coaching both direct and indirect reports creating a working environment that will maximize the company's profitability.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Direct the activities of distribution center operations on a daily basis.
• Achieve performance and profit goals consistent with corporate objectives including achieving assigned objectives.
• Leads and motivates a team of managers and associates to achieve all performance objectives.
• Insure operational procedures, company policies and governmental regulations are communicated and adhered to by all store associates.
• Hire, develop and retain a staff to include the quality individuals to support continuous improvement, succession planning and future growth of the business. Create and maintain an environment of continuous learning and development where team members have a low resistance to change ensuring continuous improvement.
• Focus on the development of company goals with a strong emphasis on receipt accuracy and reduced damages. Ensures personal and staff are aligned with company objectives.
• Responsible for an operating budget to process cartons inbound/outbound to the business units.
• Collaborates with business leaders in the organization to design, develop, or implement special projects as needed.

QualificationsQualifications & Competencies:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with Bachelors preferred
• 3 or more years of Leading in P&L environment
• 3 or more years of distribution center management responsibilities
• Preferred 5 or more years' experience managing a Distribution Center
• Ability to lift 75 pounds required
