Essential Job Functions: This is a hands-on technical role. The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities.
  • Drive DevOps transformation within IT infrastructure
  • Automate and optimize our end to end IT infrastructure provisioning
  • Plan and perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of cloud environment
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis
  • Maintain security and data protection strategies
  • Continually look for improvement opportunities and implement identified improvements
  • Establish and employ Continuous Integration practices and tools such as Jenkins or other CI tools
  • Mentor IT team members on automation build and deployment best practices
  • Must be available to support production environment 24/7
 
Requirements:
  • Experience building and managing infrastructure using AWS (VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ELB, Route53, etc)
  • Advanced ability to automate and script deployment and administration tasks (Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, etc)
  • Experience with deployment and configuration tools (Chef, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, etc)
  • Hands on experience with VMware vRealize Suite (vCenter, ESXi, vSphere, vROps, vRA, vRO)
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and demonstrated implementation
  • Experience with source control systems (Bitbucket, GitHub, etc)
  • Understanding and implementation of containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex configuration problems or system issues
  • Experience with Windows or Linux System Administration
  • Self-driven and able to work in a high-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Resourceful and results oriented
  • Ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years developing conceptual, logical and physical designs
  • 3+ years implementing a multi-tenant environment and automating/orchestrating workflows, including host, operating systems, networking, storage, application, security, self-service and costing
  • Management, Release Engineering and Agile (SAFe/Scrum) Development
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/ Information Systems or related discipline (In-Lieu-of the education 5 years of total full-time IT experience required)
  • AWS certification
  • ITIL Foundations certification
