About this job
One of Aerotek's clients has immediate openings for a full time installer/technician for installation of commercial/fleet vehicle accessories as well as normal truck accessories. While they do not do many mechanical repairs as a typical automotive shop, they will do a lot of diagnosing and installing that require a high level of mechanical skill. Diagnosis ranges from electrical/wiring issues on trucks and trailers to mechanical issues as well. Installs range from a simple bugshield to more intricate and complicated jobs like wiring brand new vehicles to pull a trailer, lift kits, wiring and installing emergency lights on a brand new truck, and all the way up to custom fabrication. Accessories include but not limited to: van shelving, van racks, signal/emergency lights, truck caps and lids, tonneau covers, step bars, grill guards, ladder racks, tool boxes, tag along/5th wheel/gooseneck hitches, 12 volt wiring, lift kits, and much more!
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Aptitude
- 2-5 years of mechanic work or similar trade/skill
- Ability to read blueprints or customer sketches to install required parts and pieces
-Operation of hand tools (drill, screwdriver, saws, grinders, ect.)
If a candidate can weld or has experience in operating a mig welder that would be a plus.
