Our Fulfillment Center facility in San Bernardino, CA, houses a broad range of positions supporting our efforts to provide an outstanding customer shopping experience by processing online customer orders, returns and inbound merchandise. The Operations Manager supports indirectly or directly, multiple positions within the Fulfillment Center and is responsible for providing direction tor all Department Managers within the production departments. The Operations Manager will review processes and proactively seek improvements with the assistance and support of the management team.

A day in the life...

  • Bring a positive energetic attitude that clearly display a passion for goals.
  • Understand and have working knowledge of all processes in respective areas.
  • Manage, develop and inspire a team of Department Managers and Assistant Managers that inspires trust.
  • Conduct building walkthroughs to maintain visibility and seek out feedback with employees on the floor.
  • Drive the scope and direction of the multiple production departments to align with the strategic plan.
  • Manage employee performance while delivering Continuous Improvement.
  • Manage cost and being fiscally responsible in relation to Cost Per Unit (CPU) metric.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of a large team.
  • Actively seek out growth opportunities for self-development.
  • Support and drive change.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement by applying an understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement discipline and practice to resolve a variety of complex issues within our Supply Chain (Fulfillment Center) organization.
  • Ensure timelines and deadlines (SLA's) are met.
  • Provide support to teams on all shifts on a regular basis.
  • Empower management to make sound decisions.
  • Partner with department managers on staffing and scheduling needs of their teams.
  • Create project initiatives to improve performance and/or metrics.
  • Provide formal monthly updates to Leadership on projects/initiatives and performance summaries.
  • Present updates on projects/initiatives and performance summaries to management quarterly.
  • Establish department objectives for each manager.
  • Ensure consistent communication between department managers and their staff.
  • Perform area and support manager functions when needed.

You own this if you have...

  • 3+ years of Operations Leadership experience within a Fulfillment Center / Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) / e-commerce environment is required.
  • Active listening skills with strong written and verbal communications.
  • Well-developed time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and promote a good sense of urgency.
  • Able to be fair and consistent in interactions and decisions.
  • Promote diversity.
  • Approachable and accessible to all employees.
  • Able to demonstrate good judgment when making decisions.
  • Strong advocacy for safety and housekeeping
  • Strong WM knowledge, LMS, Sterling, and Microsoft Office applications.
