As a critical member of the Express team, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all marketing efforts for our 2 Express locations. This role is designed to focus on driving in quality applicants and new clients by utilizing the marketing and social media tools offered by Express, along with local networking, community events, job fairs, neighborhood marketing, e-mail marketing, website updates and online ads.

The Marketing Coordinator is expected to provide a high level of customer service to recruiting sources and potential associates. This role will support the needs of the sales team, inside team and Recruiting Center to ensure a consistent brand message across all mediums. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Marketing Manager and will work alongside them to complete all marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing and Communications: The MC is responsible for all digital/online marketing activities with a goal to increase applicant flow for our offices.

  • Website Management
    • Content creation and page layout for local websites
    • Respond to incoming inquiries and direct appropriately
    • Ensure the jobs page and Top Jobs listing are active and up to date on a weekly basis
  • Social Media
    • Content creation for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter social profiles
    • Posting jobs to Facebook groups and Facebook Job Board
    • Utilizing all tools on each social platform to increase applicant flow, page exposure and community engagement
  • Email Marketing
    • Coordinate with sales team and Inside team on needs for email marketing & general brand awareness
    • Create new and manage current email campaigns to increase applicant flow
    • Develop cadence of sales and recruiting efforts through email marketing for Professional team
  • Online Job Boards
    • Review recruiting efforts and needs defined by Employment Specialists in stand up meetings
    • Create and post jobs to job boards daily/weekly utilizing strategic language
    • Proactively seek candidates on job boards to generate applicant traffic for specific open positions
  • Online Reviews
    • Engage with our current associate and client database to increase # of online reviews
    • Utilize DRIP campaign creatively to gather additional reviews and feedback

Media & Community Relations: The MC will utilize the relationships with our media partners to increase brand awareness in the community for south central Indiana.

  • Print Advertisements
    • Create ads and work with Account Executives at local papers to place recruitment and sales ads
  • Press Release & Blogs
    • Distribute monthly blogs and press releases for top-of-mind branding

Event Marketing: The MC will coordinate events alongside the Marketing Manager for our internal office staff, associates, prospects, clients and members in the community.

  • Job Fairs
    • Attend recruitment functions such as job fairs, career days, and other events to source applicants
  • LEAD Seminars & Webinars
    • Assist with the planning, marketing & setup of special events
  • Clydesdales
    • Plan and manage all aspects of the Clydesdales community events including marketing, setup, promotions, staff assignments, ordering all products and giveaways & more
  • Office Events
    • Plan internal outings and events in coordination with the Owner and Marketing Manager
  • Client/Prospect Drop Offs
    • Coordinate with the sales team on drop offs and 4 in-the-door campaigns

Brand Awareness: The MC will utilize several tools and marketing campaigns to increase and maintain a high level of brand awareness in our community.

  • Employee of the Month/Year
    • Work with inside team to choose and award an employee of the month every month and employee of the year annually
  • Hired-On Letters & Calls
    • Coordinate with Payroll on the completion of Hired On calls, letters, etc. to congratulate our associates completing their evaluation period with Express
  • Neighborhood Marketing
    • Design flyers, yard cards and marketing materials for strategic placement in local businesses, churches, apartment complexes, etc.
  • Recruiting Sources/Professional Organizations
    • Develop relationships and maintain contact with recruiting sources, professional organizations, Chamber of Commerce’s, vocational/high schools, and employment centers for applicant referrals
  • Referral Program
    • Create and implement new ideas to include in our referral program to increase applicant flow

Recruiting & Customer Service: The MC will assist and support our inside team, recruiting center and front office in a variety of tasks and projects to help them reach their goals. These items could include:

  • Assist the recruiting center in making recruiting calls to applicants or filling in when a RC is out of the office
  • Backup Front Office Coordinator with phone support, paperwork, or general office duties
  • Support the inside team with interviews when needed as well as with key customer initiatives
    • This may include interviewing, completing background checks, calling associates, completing inter-office paperwork

  • Supporting Diversity: The candidate must possess a strong understanding and appreciation of a diverse work environment and have demonstrated initiatives for recruiting for administrative, professional and light industrial candidates.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The candidate must possess the ability to relate well to people and work in cooperation with others to effectively coordinate activities in order to accomplish tasks.
  • PC/Technology Skills: The candidate must have a basic proficiency in Word and Excel and PowerPoint.  Candidate should also have experience with Social Media sites like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter along with good working knowledge of search engines and SEO techniques. Ideally, the candidate would have experience creating and managing a website. Candidate needs to have experience designing basic flyers using in house or stock graphics utilizing software like Publisher along with the use of an e-mail software product like Exact Target or online marketing programs. 
  • Judgement: The candidate must have demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results

 

Education and Experience:

The necessary skills, knowledge and abilities to perform in this role are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Human Resources or Business Administration, or related field and 1-2 years of experience in marketing or recruiting in a highly dynamic and diverse organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
