Summary:
- Install sheet rock, seal joints between sheets and prepare wall surface for paint by:
- Mixing sealing compound by hand or portable electric mixer and apply compound over board joints
- Press paper tape over joint to embed tape into compound and seal joints using mechanical applicator or board knife
- Spread and smooth joint compound over tape to blend joints with wall surface
- Sand rough spots after compound is dry
- Fill cracks and holes in walls and ceiling with compound
- Countersinks nails or screws below surface to wall prior to sealing compound
Qualifications:
- Experience on commercial construction sites
- Physical endurance to include loading/unloading equipment and materials
- Open availability as work may run into weekends
- Verifiable work history and references
- OSHA 10 Construction preferred
