Facilities Maintenance Manager

Very well-established provider of waste and energy solutions company located near Garden City, NY seeks a Facilities Maintenance Manager.

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the overall management of facility mechanical, electrical and instrument/control activities. This includes long term planning/scheduling of all maintenance activities on boilers, turbines and associated equipment.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to train employees on proper maintenance work and troubleshooting skills. EFW (energy from waste) maintenance experience or a solid background in power and/or industrial plant maintenance including minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience is required to be considered for this position.

Requirements:

• 5 years’ minimum maintenance supervision or reliability work experience in petro-chemical, utility, EFW or equal a requirement
• No limitations to working in industrial environment
• Practical field experience involving equipment installation, maintenance, overhaul and operation
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, etc.)
• Physical demands – operating facility environment with OSHA required PPE, safety training for areas of steam boiler and turbine – generator operation. Access to all areas of facility required as well as to confined spaces and respirator required areas; job requires physical demands consistent with work in industrial environment
