About this job
We have a need for Quality Assurance Technician with a food manufacturing client of ours located in Mira Loma.
Job duties include:
Consults with the Food Safety & Quality manager on a daily basis.
Provides support in planning, developing and maintaining QA programs, procedures, objectives, guidelines, and standards for monitoring and reporting food safety.
Assists in performing necessary laboratory tests on an on-going basis; distributes test results in a timely manner, including supplier and customer related data.
Assists in maintaining comprehensive QA documentation including supplier specifications, company specifications, company policy/procedures, customer requirements/reports, stock recovery, in-plant reports and computer applications.
Supports and participates in projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years QA experience required (preferably in the food industry); familiar with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)Scientific background strongly recommended
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred (or currently attending school for related degree)
Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
