Major Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Drives the adoption of DevOps tools and capabilities across large scale global IT organization.
  • Designs and implements effective and efficient DevOps processes and pipelines.
  • Provides technical leadership in designing and implementing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines.
  • Publishes and maintains best practices, standards, and design patterns for DevOps tools and capabilities.
  • Measures the effectiveness of DevOps solutions and applies continuous improvement based on feedback loops.
  • Educates teams in the proper use of DevOps tools and capabilities.
  • Maintains DevOps solution blue prints and multi-year DevOps roadmaps to guide the adoption of DevOps tools and capabilities.
  • Evaluates and recommends new DevOps tools to improve overall DevOps capability.
  • Mentors one or more junior members of the team.
Skills/Knowledge

  • Deep knowledge of the following DevOps capabilities: Agile Planning, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Continuous Testing, Infrastructure Automation, and Continuous Monitoring.
  • Passion for process reengineering and applying automation to improve efficiency, quality, and operational stability.
  • Hands on experience with delivering comprehensive Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with tools, such as: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven, Sonarqube, and Artifactory.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to recommend and defend technical direction.
  • Experience applying DevOps across a large scale, global IT organization.
  • Strong ability to gather requirements and to create solution designs.
  • Strong software engineering mindset and skill to define DevOps design patterns.
  • Ability to educate teams on proper use of DevOps tools and capabilities.
  • Strong consulting, leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Must collaborate effectively across multiple teams and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively work both independently and within cross functional project teams that span multiple time-zones.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the short term perspectives of specific situations.
  • Ability to influence others to achieve results.
  • Ability to create value stream maps to gain insight into organization efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and look for ways to improve the flow of work.
  • Strong mentoring skills.
  • Expert knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to alter direction easily to accommodate changing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and PCI policies and controls.
  • Experience applying DevOps in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
Minimum Experience

  • 8+ years of IT experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in designing, building, and implementing systems supporting retail and/or corporate business operations
  • Hands on experience with delivering comprehensive Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with tools, such as: Jenkins and Bitbucket
Minimum Formal Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
