Title: Upholsterer

Pay: $10 - $17 (Depending on Experience)   Willing to Train Right Person if No Experience

Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday with Fridays as needed

Location: Dallas, TX

Type: Temp to Perm

Responsibilities

  • Use upholstery skills to build sofas, chairs, ottomans and other items
  • Fit, install, and secure material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue, cement, and/or staples.
  • Build furniture up with loose fiber stuffing, cotton, felt, and/or foam padding to form smooth rounded surfaces.
  • Make, restore, and/or create custom upholstered furniture, using hand tools and knowledge of following sketches and design specifications.
  • Inspect Furniture before it is touched up
  • Keep designated racks filled with cushions – clean and organized
  • Maintain the central upholstery area clean
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

    • Tufting, cutting and sewing experience a plus
    • Will train right person if no experience
    • Knowledge of furniture upholstery
    • Experience with hand and machine sewing
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Able to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately
    • Able to Understand, Read & Write English is preferred
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
    • Able to stand 10 hours per day
    • Background check and drug screen will be administered
    • High school diploma or GED
