Title: Seamstress

Pay: Pay: $10 - $17 (Depending on Experience)  

Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday with Fridays as needed

Location: Dallas, TX

Type: Temp to Perm

Responsibilities

• Operate or tend sewing machines to perform furniture sewing operations, such as joining, reinforcing, or decorating furniture. Includes sewing machine operators and tenders who perform specialized or automatic sewing machine functions, such as buttonhole making or tacking.
• Knowledge of merchandise
• MUST have experience with sewing in the furniture industry.   
• Ability to lift merchandise of 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Knowledge of employment and safety procedures
• To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion
• Works in an indoor, climate controlled environment

Requirements

• 1 – 2 years of sewing experience minimum
• Competent with sewing equipment such as industrial sewing machine, scissors, seam rippers, and practice safe operation of all aforesaid tools
• Top stitching experience is preferred but not required
• Able to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately
• Able to Understand, Read & Write English is preferred
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Able to stand 8 hours per day
• Background check and drug screen will be administered.
