SUMMARY DUTIES

 

The Cashier/Server is responsible for the overall Guest satisfaction experience mastering the art of customer relations. Our Guests deserve it and expect it. It is a vital component to our World Class Service model that our guests enjoy their experiences. The Cashier / Server is an important role in the Villa experience and career path for advancement within VRG. A smooth-running front counter operation is a direct reflection of a great Cashier/Server. The Cashier/Server is consistently focused on teamwork, willing to go above and beyond to get the job done.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES

 

•      Always greet Guests with “Welcome!” as they approach the counter and any Guests beyond the counter and end a Guest conversation with “Thank You!”

•    Create a great first and last impression for our Guests by listening to their needs

•    100% completion of VRG iLEARN Training at all times as new chapters are added

•    Exhibit the iCARE Hospitality Culture promises: iSEE, iSAY, iSMILE

•    Have a positive attitude and wear a smile!!! (it is part of your uniform)

•    Show respect and courtesy for fellow employees and guests

•    Encourage the “fix it now” environment when mistakes are made

•    Be on time and in full uniform for every shift

•    Uphold all Federal/State laws/regulations and company standards/procedures

•    Ensure that all quality and Health/Safety requirements are met in accordance with Federal, State,

& Local Standards and Company, OSHA and Health Department Standards

•    Assist in providing a safe working environment for all employees

•    Adhere to Villa’s timing standards for products and services

•    Understand and adapt to a POS system for smooth transactions

•    Recognize all forms of payment and check for compliance with the POS System

•      Verify that the amount of money you started with in the cash drawer is consistent when your shift ends after the deposit is withdrawn

•    Be aware of all menu items and special promotions

•    Help and assist management in keeping the restaurant clean and organized

•    Accept constructive criticism from all levels of management and fellow co-workers- don’t take it

personally

 

•    Maintain constant, consistent communication between yourselves and management

•      Set high expectations for yourself and for the team. Do not compromise your standards and beliefs

•    Have tremendous energy and enthusiasm when you work

•    Be relentless in your pursuit of excellence

•    Make every action spirited in fun, while remaining professional at all times

•    Apply proper tact and good taste to all conversations

Requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

•    Must be at least 16 years of age (providing working papers per applicable state requirements)

•    Excellent communication as well as interpersonal skills with Guests and Team

•    Be a good leader as well as a good follower

•    Must have reliable transportation to and from work

•    Flexible work schedules (including weekends & holidays)

•    Complete tasks in a timely manner

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

This position is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk to or hear. Regular lifting and/or moving up to
