Job Overview:   The Manager of Merchandise Execution will support the business by creating sound merchandise execution materials and communicating specific FOB priorities. This manager will support GVP National Merchandise Director(s) by collaborating with merchants, visual partners, the field organization and all necessary other business partners.  Perform other duties as assigned.   Essential Functions:   MERCHANDISE EXECUTION   • Build strong working relationships with GVP National Merchandise Director(s), Merchants and Creative Directors to develop and complete quarterly execution guides, monthly directives and all projects related to in store merchandise execution. • Attend all FOB strategy and schedule FOB planning meetings to fully understand and determine actionable priorities. • Communicate clear concise priorities, strategies and execution direction to the stores organization utilizing all channels of communication as needed. (e.g. Cascade Calls, Weekly DM Newsletter, Monthly Workload Planner, Merchandising Execution Portal) • Drive the merchandising presentation direction for all Event Executions and Big Volume Days. • Work with Merchant teams and merchant business managers on an ongoing basis; prepare & organize all execution information. Examples: Sales Drivers, Sales Priorities, Brand Overviews, Merchandise Placement (ZOG’s). • Layout quarterly and event prototypical floor plans and coordinate completion with Director of Global Communications and Manager of Prototypical Floorplans.   COMMUNICATION   • Partner with Merchant teams to organize and improve content for monthly DM calls and execution tools ensuring information is relevant. • Solicit on going feedback from the field to simplify and improve tools. • Drive content of any merchandising related power points materials, etc. Ensure format is consistent with peer group. • Support GVP NMDs on any other related task related to merchandise execution.   TRAINING   • Oversee the creation of dynamic training materials to improve and maintain the presentation standards within the store environment.  Work in conjunction with the Director and Manager or Presentation Standards and Training for consistency. • Actively seek improved and elevated methods to cascade training materials.   • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.   Qualifications:   Education/Experience:   • Bachelor’s degree preferred; • Macy’s store experience preferred.   Communication Skills:   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals. • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.   Mathematical Skills:   • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.   Reasoning Ability:   • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Demonstrates problem solving skills. • Detail oriented, highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks. • Respond effectively to changing priorities and the ability to keep track of multiple projects on a continuing basis.   Physical Demands:   • This position may require regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking. • May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.   Other Skills:   • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with information. • Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion. • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to gain respect and cooperation from supervisors’ subordinates. • Initiative & ability to problem solve. • Ability to navigate intranet and internet. • Strong administrative, time management and follow through skills. • Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team. • Must possess a strong sense of urgency. • Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Photo Studio, Adobe Creative Suite • Should be comfortable with the use of computers; proficient in Microsoft 360.   Work Hours:   • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.     This job description is not all inclusive.
