A successful candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years UX analysis, and interaction/interface design experience with enterprise applications or customer-facing applications.
  • Familiarity with accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Strong background in visual design preferred.

The IT Experience Design team at DISH Network is seeking an enthusiastic user experience designer to create apps that people love to use. This position will work with a team of designers to gather research and minimize risk in our products.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Identifies target audience. Schedules, and recruits participants, conducts interviews, deploys surveys. Minimizes bias, ensures research results are highly useful. Discovers unidentified, unmet or undermet needs. Obtains approval to move projects forward.
  • Observes and improves existing interactions. Ensures consistency and high quality. Anticipates user paths and creates the most logical flow. Explains each design iteration, findings, and recommendations.
  • Uses rapid prototyping tools to simulate proposed designs in order to better judge their user experience.
  • Understands current-state services. Re-imagines services and evaluates impacts to the customer experience.
