PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES ARE:
  • Pulling product from warehouse inventory rack locations and staging in kit racking, or finished goods dock area.
  • Pulling kayaks from warehouse inventory rack locations and loading onto trailers per operating procedures.
  • Ability to scan bar codes, and complete systematic transfers.
  • Loading product from shipping dock onto trucks.
  • Will provide weekly audits to verify count accuracies.
  • Forklift certification required
  • Ability to use barcode equipment and understand different barcode transactions
  • Verifying part numbers and counts.
  • Complete process shipments for distribution orders
  • Calculates total skids shipped daily
  • May be assigned to perform other duties as requested

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Intermittent lifting of parts weighing 0 to 75 pounds
  • Intermittent standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, pushing/pulling, and crouching/stooping
  • Frequently moves light weight material
  • Must be able to work full time on an ongoing basis

ESSENTIAL MENTAL / VISUAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate
  • Excellent peripheral vision
  • Near, mid range, and far sight is essential
  • Continuous mental and visual attention is required

RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT
  • Ability to use forklifts properly for rack and skid movement and other duties correctly
  • Ability to use barcode scanners
  • Ability to use green bar/standard size paper printers Personal AS400 terminal
  • Personal computer
  • Barcode label scanning equipment

RESPONSIBILITY FOR MATERIAL
  • Transporting finished goods from rack locations to shipping dock, from shipping dock to truck/trailer using forklifts or pulling by from another location
  • Responsible for verifying the load is in the correct truck and the correct truck load of product is shipped to the appropriate destination

RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY
  • Assuring that parts are not precariously in racks without netting or wall securing
  • Operate forklifts according to safe operating procedures
  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor
  • Report all safety concerns to Team Leader
  • Know locations and function of safety switches
  • Know alarm system and evacuation plan
  • Know location of the nearest fire extinguisher.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR HOUSEKEEPING
  • Maintaining aisle ways that are clear of parts and debris
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment in shipping office

RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
  • Ensure that standard procedures are followed for shipping products
  • Report any violations to lead person

RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY EQUIPMENT
  • Must wear eye protection, ear protection
  • Back brace, wrist brace, gloves are provided

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
  • Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate
  • Must prove ability to understand the order pulling and recording process
  • Forklift certification

EXPERIENCE
  • Entry level position
  • Must pass forklift operators test and receive certification
  • Must be able to pull orders per operating procedures

PERSONAL
  • Ability to work independently or as a part of a group, and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate issues to appropriate departments.
