Job Description
CPC is currently seeking a Roadway Project Engineer in our growing West Palm Beach office.
The successful candidate will work on all phases of transportation projects for various public and private sector clients. Transportation projects will include Roadway Projects such as Milling and Resurfacing, Widening, Intersection Improvements, Bicycle/Sidewalk improvements, and neighborhood improvement projects. Tasks would entail CADD and design related to horizontal and vertical road alignments, drainage design, stormwater management, utility relocations, development of maintenance of traffic plans, and preparation of contract documents. Working knowledge of Traffic Design (Signalization, Signing-Pavement Marking, Lighting) is a plus. The successful candidate must be flexible and technologically savvy.
The successful candidate is expected to be versatile, exposed to working in various disciplines, and have strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley (Open Roads), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
FL PE license is preferred, or an EIT capable of obtaining FL PE within one to two years.
3-10 years of experience in transportation engineering with FDOT and Municipal projects.
Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project deadlines and budgets.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub-consultants, and county/agency review staff.
Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
A local candidate is preferred. Qualified candidates willing to relocate will be considered for employment.
Salary Range: $75,000-$120,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
