Tax Manager

For over 30 years, Strand Boyce O'Shaughnessy, CPAs, Inc. (SBO), a public accounting firm located in Pleasant Hill, CA, has provided tax, accounting and consulting services to a diverse client base. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a motivated tax leader with 8+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to lead tax engagements for high-income individuals and small to mid-size privately held businesses

Responsibilities:

· Review and prepare entity and individual tax returns including corporate, partnership, multi-state and multi-entity returns

· Lead engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including complex tax research, planning and strategy

· Train and supervise staff

· Prepare tax correspondence for submission to the IRS and state tax agencies

· Develop and cultivate professional client relationships

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting

· CPA license or on track to obtaining

· 8+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibility

· Extensive experience with various tax entities, tax preparation and general accounting

· Strong communication, analytical, organizational, client service, leadership and technology skills including Microsoft Office and tax software proficiency (ProSystem fx Engagement and Lacerte proficiency is a plus)

· Ability to juggle priorities, meet deadlines and thrive working both independently and in a team-oriented environment with all levels of staff
