Environmental Laborer - Full-time / Part-time

We are seeking a general laborer/driver to add to our team.

SMR Rapid Response understands the challenges of learning a new industry and provides the training and tools to help you succeed. As a part of the SMR team, you will receive a competitive hourly pay with room to grow.

As a general laborer/driver with SMR, no two days will be the same. You will be traveling to customer work sites with your team in order to assist in solving our customers’ environmental issues. Projects range from non-hazardous spill cleanup to industrial vacuum truck projects. Every day is a new adventure!

Qualifications:

• Minimum age for company drivers is 21 with 3 years clean driving history.
• A Valid Driver’s license with no/low points is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from our field services location in Ashland is required.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends when needed.
• Willingness to follow directions.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to utilize company provided personal protective clothing including a hard hat, high visibility vest and safety glasses.

SMR Rapid Response is looking for dedicated individuals who will:

• Communicate accurate availability to your supervisor.
• Provide a positive customer experience.
• Follow the direction of the team lead.
• Assist in the set up and tear down of job site.
• Utilize all tools and equipment once trained.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
This is an hourly position that could grow into a larger role within the organazation. You will provide availability to the service center operations manager. Based upon availability, you will be requested to work on emergency and scheduled projects. This includes evenings and weekends.

This role is a great opportunity for someone just starting out or over in the work force. Training opportunities are available for highly motivated individuals.

Laborers will work outdoors in various weather conditions. Laborers are occasionally required to wear PPE, once appropriate training is provide, such as respirators and chemical protective clothing that is provided by SMR.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours:30 – 45 per week

• 21+ years or older
