Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (Skilled Nursing Home)

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Director of Nurses in the Care Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will assist the DON and ADON with planning, coordinating, and managing the RN/LPN clinical services for residents and implementing care as necessary and in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies and procedures. The position communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. The position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Level of Education: Education level equivalent to high school completion and completion of Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Training course of study.

Training: Management skills with experience in planning, organizing, implementing, facilitating, interviewing, counseling, and verbal and written communications.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Must have and maintain an unencumbered Georgia Registered Nurse or LPN license and Basic Life Support CPR certification.

Work Experience: One to two years of related experience and/or training is preferred.
