Line Install Tech with a diverse skill set encompassing electrical, plumbing, and rigging expertise plays a crucial role in various industrial settings, ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. This multi-skilled professional is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery, and they are essential in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, assemble, and align industrial machinery and equipment, including conveyors, turbines, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Electrical Expertise:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components and systems, including motors, controls, and wiring.
- Perform electrical installations and upgrades as needed.
Plumbing and Fluid Systems:
- Maintain and repair plumbing and fluid systems that are integrated with industrial machinery, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Address leaks, blockages, and ensure proper fluid circulation.
Rigging and Heavy Lifting:
- Safely rig, move, and position heavy equipment and machinery using various rigging techniques, hoists, and cranes.
- Ensure proper weight distribution and securement during lifting operations.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and guidelines to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
- Keep up-to-date with safety training and ensure all equipment is in compliance with safety standards.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
- Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues, and develop effective solutions to rectify them.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical education or certification is a plus).
Proven experience with a focus on electrical, plumbing, concrete, and rigging.
Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment, as well as related systems and components.
Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.
