Shift Supervisor

Smalls Sliders is a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in made-to-order cheeseburger sliders, complemented by seasoned waffle fries, creamy milkshakes, and our signature Smauce®. Established in 2019, the brand has experienced rapid growth, expanding to multiple locations across 18 states. Our unique approach includes utilizing modular shipping containers, referred to as "cans," for our restaurant structures, allowing for efficient and streamlined operations.

The menu at Smalls Sliders is intentionally simple, focusing on delivering high-quality, craveable cheeseburger sliders. This simplicity extends to our operations, with the modular "can" design enabling faster openings and a distinctive dining experience.

Shift Leader

Position Overview:
The Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving financial and operational success. This role involves managing hourly staff while upholding company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

• Supervise daily restaurant operations to maintain high standards of food quality, service, and sanitation.
• Manage and oversee Squad Members.
• Assign and monitor daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Order and maintain inventory levels to ensure operational efficiency.
• Reconcile cash registers at shift openings and closings.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and workplace safety regulations.

Management:

• Assist the General Manager in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and hiring staff.
• Conduct onboarding, training, and development for Squad Members.
• Provide performance management through coaching, feedback, and discipline as necessary.
• Adjust and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing.

Leadership:

• Exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.
• Communicate effectively with the General Manager, staff, customers, vendors, and community members.
• Assist in leading staff meetings and ensuring team alignment with company goals.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and resolve employee concerns as needed.
• Support the General Manager in achieving business objectives.
• Address customer issues with professionalism and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Conditions:

• Flexible schedule with a commitment to a 50-hour work week, including extended hours as needed.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Regular interaction with guests and staff, requiring professionalism and courtesy.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in math and computer skills.
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong leadership abilities.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
