Warehouse Associate - Full-time

ShipSmart is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Logistics & Warehouse Associate to join our team. 

This individual will be responsible for receiving, storing, consolidating, and delivering shipments to freight forwarders while maintaining accurate inventory records using advanced our Mobile App. 

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with mobile applications and computers.

Package Receiving and Storage

• Receive and document incoming packages at the ShipSmart warehouse using mobile applications and inventory software.
• Inspect packages for accuracy and damage, reporting discrepancies immediately.
• Store packages securely and maintain an organized storage system to facilitate efficient operations.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all received and stored packages.
• Use technology tools to track inventory and generate real-time reports.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data integrity.

Shipment Consolidation

• Consolidate packages for shipment based on customer instructions and logistics guidelines.
• Accurately label packages and ensure they are ready for delivery.

Delivery Coordination

• Load and transport consolidated shipments to designated freight forwarders using company vehicles.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery, maintaining a record of all deliveries.

Warehouse Maintenance

• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Proactively identify and address potential hazards or inefficiencies.

Technology Utilization

• Use mobile applications and computer systems to manage package tracking, inventory updates, and shipment documentation.
• Quickly adapt to new tools and processes introduced to enhance efficiency.

Customer Support and Communication

• Communicate with the ShipSmart team regarding shipment issues or delays.
• Provide status updates on packages and shipments when required.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or a related field is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong proficiency with mobile applications, computer systems, and inventory software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with prolonged periods of standing, walking, and physical activity.

Required qualifications:

• 18 years or older

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Valid driver's license
• Warehouse skills: handheld scanner operation
• Warehouse skills: loading and unloading trucks
• Warehouse skills: managing inventory records
• Speaks English
• Reads English
• Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs
• Available to work: overtime
• Available to work: weekdays
• Willing to travel locally
