Membership Clerk - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description: Processes member sign ups, renewals and added cards. Instructs members and potential members about membership, warehouse and credit programs. Assists members regarding item availability. Issues replacement and temporary cards, keys credit applications and provides a high level of member service. Processes membership and merchandise returns by members for cash or credit. Writes or keys information for disposition tags on non-saleable merchandise and price adjustments, researches items by computer, gets verification and approvals when necessary, and rings up returns on cash register. Documents customer adjustments performed. Meets with current and prospective members to increase membership sign ups and warehouse sales. Attends and participates in local community events to promote excellent community relations. Contacts expired members to encourage membership renewals.
