Field Service Technician

Dayton, OH, USA | Services | Hourly | per hour Competitive compensation & benefit package | Full Time Field Service Technician Nidec Minster Corporation, the largest manufacturer of material forming presses in the United States has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician. This person will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to assist customers with their Minster supplied equipment, supervising/instructing personnel in setting up equipment in customer plants, training customer's personnel on proper maintenance and operation of Minster equipment. Field Service Technician Job Responsibilities: + Provide technical and maintenance support to Minster's customers with their metal forming equipment + Commission new and remanufactured metal forming equipment in customers' plants + Audit customers' metal forming equipment and report all repair requirements found + Provide written and oral reports in English in an accurate and professional manner + Promote service parts and preventative maintenance contracts + Work flexible hours to support customer service needs - primarily day shift with some off-shift support Field Service Technician Job Qualifications: + Knowledge of machinery mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and maintenance processes + Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics + Able to work effectively with minimal supervision + Excellent communication skills + Extensive domestic and international travel is required 7 days a week- 90% Benefits: + Competitive salary + Company provided service vehicle, specialty tools, telephone and laptop + $75 daily per diem for domestic travel, $95 daily per diem for international travel; paid weekly + Ability to keep accumulated travel points for personal use + Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with Company match - available first day of employment + Eligible for 18+ days of paid time off immediately upon hire An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, M/F/D/V Nidec Minster Corporation will not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third party recruiting agencies in response to Nidec Minster Corporation job postings.
