Please note this bartending position is for Bar Louie in West Little Rock (11525 Cantrell Road).
We are looking for someone who can work as a bartender on Friday and Saturday nights (4 pm - 1 am), and as lead bartender on Sunday nights (4 pm - 12 am) - with the option to work additional shifts.
Pay ranges between $6- $10/hour, depending on experience.
For Friday & Saturday nights, you will work with a lead bartender, but on Sunday nights, you will be the shift lead.
As a bartender, you have the hospitality gene and are committed to our guests. You lead by example and set the tone for the entire building. Your style is fun but always professional. You like being busy and demonstrate pride in your work. You don't cut corners, seamlessly juggle multiple tasks, and are able to describe our food menu and handcrafted cocktails.
We are looking for an industry pro: Being able to understand our garnishing, free pouring, alcohol safety, well master, and mixology.
You can take cues from our guests matching your style to their mood: Quick and efficient if they are in a hurry; unobtrusive if they need privacy; an interactive if they are looking for attention.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exemplify Bar Louie’s Mission, Vision and Values in the way you approach your shift each day.
- Demonstrated a maniacal commitment to cleanliness, sanitation and safety.
- Learn the menu, top to bottom and inside and out, so that you can seamlessly infuse your style as you answer questions; describe and recommend items; and help our guests find new and old favorites.
- Master the tricks of the trade : unique recipes; free pouring; flare; responsible alcohol service.
- Protect our guests and accurately ringing, preparing, and then serving items requested.
- Actively complete side work - passing and sanitizing the bar top; Washing glassware and more.
- Quickly complete opening and closing duties each shift ensuring you and your peers are set for success.
- Provide accurate availability; Check schedule regularly and have consistent attendance
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- The ability to communicate clearly with guests and fellow team members.
- The ability to memorize and describe the ingredients and preparation of all food and beverage options.
- The ability to prepare dozens of signature beverages perfectly by memory.
- The ability to handle and carry dish ware and glassware safely.
- The ability to place orders within Toast and accurately handle payment methods.
- The ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands for your time and attention.
Required qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Comfortable handling customer complaints
- Able to stand for duration of shift
- Available to work: weekends
Preferred qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in the food & restaurant industry
- 21+ years or older
