What You’ll Do:

As a Diesel Mechanic at GMCO, you’ll be an essential part of keeping our fleet running smoothly and safely.

• Diagnose and repair various vehicle components to ensure optimal performance.

• Perform preventative maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing, and filter replacements.

• Use precision instruments, shop machines, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues.

• Read and interpret service manuals, bulletins, and technical publications.

• Maintain accurate service records for compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and GMCO standards.

• Provide detailed documentation of work performed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 3+ years as a mechanic (5 years preferred).

• Tools: Must have your own basic hand tools.

• License: CDL Class A or B preferred.

• Technical Skills: Ability to operate diagnostic tools, computers, and software.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of DOT, federal, and state maintenance regulations.

• Work Ethic: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and punctual.

• Team Player: Great interpersonal skills to work with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
