Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for guests, ensuring their visit begins with a positive first impression. This role requires impeccable customer service, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of fine dining etiquette. Key Responsibilities: 1. Greeting Guests: • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and create a friendly, polished first impression. • Offer courteous and attentive service, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. 2. Reservation Management: • Efficiently manage reservations through the restaurant’s booking system, accommodating guest preferences and special requests. • Communicate wait times accurately and inform guests of any delays. • Keep track of table assignments and coordinate seating arrangements with staff to optimize seating and service flow. 3. Seating Guests: • Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortably seated and aware of their server. • Provide menus, highlight specials, and answer any initial questions about the dining experience. 4. Coordination with Staff: • Communicate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth dining service and timely table turnover. • Monitor dining room flow and assist with reassigning tables as needed for efficiency. 5. Handling Guest Inquiries and Special Requests: • Respond professionally to guest inquiries about the restaurant, menu, or reservations. • Accommodate special requests, such as seating preferences, dietary needs, or celebrations. 6. Maintaining a Professional Environment: • Keep the reception area organized, clean, and visually appealing. • Uphold the restaurant’s standards of fine dining hospitality and etiquette. 7. Managing Customer Complaints: • Address any concerns politely and promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary. Requirements: • Previous experience as a Host or in a customer-facing role, preferably in a fine dining setting. • Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and composure. • Familiarity with reservation management systems and basic POS systems. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of fine dining etiquette, including food and wine pairing basics. • Multitasking abilities and the ability to manage guest expectations smoothly. • Flexibility with scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
