CDL Driver

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely drive and operate a commercial vehicle, including driving in-state and across state lines.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and products to various destinations.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring that it is properly maintained and roadworthy.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all deliveries and mileage, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
• Secure cargo appropriately and ensure that it is transported without damage.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding any delays, road issues, or safety concerns during the trip.
• Assist in loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety of materials.
• Work with warehouse teams to ensure proper documentation and proper handling of goods.
• Comply with all company, state, and federal regulations, including weight limits, hours of service, and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial driver (long haul or dedicated routes).
• Must be able to travel both in-state and out-of-state as required by the job.
• Ability to drive up to 10-12 hours a day with overnight stays as necessary.
• Strong knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance.
• Familiarity with state and federal transportation regulations, including hours of service, weight restrictions, and vehicle inspections.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with dispatch and clients.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading, unloading, and securing cargo.
• Ability to work independently and stay focused on safety and efficiency.
