American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) Technologist with 2+ years of experience to work in a hospital OR/IR setting in Columbus, OH, with call and weekend requirements.
Details\n- \n
- Hospital-based Interventional Radiology department with 2 endovascular suites and open procedure ORs \n
- Average of 20 patients per day with a 2:1 RT:RN ratio \n
- Common procedures include abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, and EVARs \n
- Equipment includes fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, Philips Epiq 7G, Parks Flo-Lab 2100SX, and C-arm \n
- Charting via Epic/CareConnect EMR (PenVasc reporting software also used) \n
- 5x8-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM \n
- Call and weekend expectation of approximately 1/4 of total call rotation, including weekends \n
- Every other holiday required \n

- Minimum of 2 years of VIR/IR experience required; candidates with 1+ year may be considered if they have Level I or Level II trauma experience \n
- HS diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited radiography program \n
- Current ARRT certification or equivalent required \n
- Ohio Department of Health radiologic license required if applicable (pending status accepted; typically obtained within 24–48 hours) \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT, and ultrasound \n
- Competency in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating roles for image-guided vascular procedures \n
- Epic/CareConnect EMR experience \n

- Assist the Interventional Radiologist in minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in scrub, monitoring, and circulating roles \n
- Surgical scrubs are provided \n
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position \n
- No more than 5 days of RTO will be approved for the duration of the contract \n
