Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position requiring Level 1 trauma and Siemens equipment experience.

Details\n

\n
• Level 1 trauma center setting within a radiology department
\n
• Operates CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices
\n
• Uses Siemens CT equipment
\n
• Epic charting system used
\n
• 36 hours per week, night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n
• Schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
\n
• Requires weekend coverage and on-call flexibility
\n
• Staff float among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
\n
• Current Massachusetts Radiologic and CT Technologist license required if applicable
\n
• Registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent
\n
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
\n
• 2-3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred, with at least 1 year in CT
\n
• Level 1 trauma and Siemens CT equipment experience required
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients under physical or emotional stress
\n
• Analytical ability to apply knowledge of imaging processes, techniques, and cross-sectional anatomy
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images according to departmental protocol, including patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, and shielding
\n
• Explain exams to patients, maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct
\n
• Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction, following hospital contrast policies
\n
• Calibrate and verify equipment operation, reporting malfunctions as needed
\n
• Complete RIS documentation and transfer images to PACS for each exam
\n
• Maintain CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts licensure and ARRT requirements
\n
• May oversee and instruct technology students and other personnel within the department
\n
• Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, and research initiatives
\n
• Transport and transfer patients according to departmental guidelines
\n
• Use independent judgment and initiative when performing exams under pressure
\n
• Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
\n
• Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of the facility, subject to a reduced rate
