American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, ME, with ARRT (R) & (CT) certification and a minimum of 1 year of CT experience required.

- Work in the CT Scan department of a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving a large regional catchment area, including air transport patients \n
- Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric and neonatal cases, drawn from ED, outpatient, and inpatient settings \n
- CT equipment includes a Siemens Definition CT (ED) with Medrad Injector; additional imaging equipment includes a Siemens YSIO DR room, Shimadzu portable, and OEC and Siemens C-arms \n
- EMR: Cerner; PACS: AGFA Enterprise Imaging \n
- 12-hour overnight shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week \n
- Weekend rotation up to every other weekend based on departmental need \n
- No call required \n
- May be required to float within the hospital per facility policy \n

- Minimum 1 year of experience in CT \n
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required \n
- Current BLS required \n
- ME state license required (compact or ME license); license required if applicable \n
- Proficiency with CTA studies and general CT/X-ray studies \n
- IV start skills preferred \n
- Experience with Siemens CT and X-ray equipment preferred \n
- Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of the facility to be eligible \n
- Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity \n
- Two professional references within the past year required, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge nurse (peer references not accepted) \n
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration \n
- Full SSN required for consideration \n
- Driver's license required for consideration \n
- Flu vaccination required for clearance to start \n
- \n
- First-time travelers and candidates with 1 year of experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis, dependent upon interview \n
- Manager interviews are required for this position \n
- Multiple CT/DX techs are scheduled per shift, with support from a lead tech, department administration, internal transport, and an on-site radiologist \n
- Orientation is approximately 1–1.5 weeks, adjusted based on experience and comfort level \n
- Schedules are issued in 4-week blocks; all RTO requires manager approval \n
- Holidays are covered on a rotation basis with other techs \n
- Scrub color is any solid, professional color; scrubs are available from the facility if needed \n
- Free parking is available on site \n
- Medical exemptions only are accepted for the flu vaccination requirement and must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance for committee review \n
