Plumber

Labor Finders of St. Petersburg is seeking an experienced plumber to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in homes, businesses, and factories, including pipes, fixtures, appliances, and drainage systems while adhering to safety procedures and plumbing code

Responsibilities:

• Installation:
  • Install pipes, fixtures, and appliances like bathtubs, toilets, sinks, dishwashers, and water heaters. 
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine plumbing layouts and materials. 
  • Install and assemble fittings, valves, and supports for pipes and equipment. 
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, and brazing/welding equipment. 
• Repair and Maintenance:
  • Locate and repair leaks in pipes and fixtures. 
  • Clean drains and remove obstructions. 
  • Repair or replace broken pipes and fixtures. 
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems. 
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. 
• Other Duties:
  • Estimate costs and prepare bids for plumbing projects. 
  • Obtain necessary permits for plumbing work. 
  • Follow company plumbing codes and regulations. 
  • May work on septic systems. 
  • May lead, train, or oversee other plumbing staff. 

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Physical strength and dexterity. 
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. 
• Familiarity with various plumbing tools and equipment. 
• Ability to work in confined spaces. 
• Good communication and customer service skills.
