Radiologic Technologist – CT Tech
Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on Facility Requirements
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs computerized tomography (CT) procedures on patients and may perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and compliance with facility standards.
Required Qualifications:
- \t
- Minimum 1 year of hospital-based CT experience \t
- Associate Degree in Applied Science in Radiology \t
- High School Diploma or GED \t
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist \t
- ARRT Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or CT Registry Eligible \t
- Current BLS Certification \t
- Peripheral IV insertion experience or willingness to obtain training \t
- Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment \t
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Responsibilities:
- \t
- Perform CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols \t
- Review patient history and requisitions to determine appropriate imaging procedures \t
- Explain procedures and prepare patients for examinations \t
- Operate CT equipment and ensure quality diagnostic imaging \t
- Administer IV contrast media, including use of power injectors \t
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide immediate care when necessary \t
- Assist radiologists with sterile procedures, including biopsies \t
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles \t
- Maintain image quality and resolve PACS image exceptions \t
- Complete study documentation in RIS and medical records \t
- Prepare procedure rooms and maintain supplies \t
- Transport patients to and from the Emergency Department as needed \t
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
Physical Requirements:

- May work in hospital-based or mobile imaging environments \t
- May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients \t
- Ability to lift and/or move patients and equipment exceeding 10 pounds as required
