RN – Cardiac Stepdown Unit (Travel Assignment)
Location: Albany, GA
- \n
- Contract: Travel RN \n
- Unit: Cardiology Stepdown (4A/4B) \n
- Shift: 6:45 AM / 6:45 PM \n
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend \n
- Beds: 44 beds \n
- Ratios: 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio \n
- Nurse Aides: 1:10 \n
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years Stepdown experience in acute care (required) \n
- EMR: Meditech 6.1 \n
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue \n
- Telemetry: Phillips – must read and interpret strips \n
Certifications:

- BLS Required \n
- ACLS Required \n
- NIHSS Preferred \n
Patient Population:
\n- \n
- CABG, cardiovascular surgeries, CHF, AFib with RVR \n
- Pacemakers, AICD, ablations, stents \n
- Chest tubes, vascular procedures, EVARs, AAA repairs \n
Skills Required:
\n- \n
- Cardiac monitoring \n
- Drip management (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, Dobutamine, Dopamine, etc.) \n
- BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, Vapotherm \n
Floating:
\n- \n
- May float to ICU for Stepdown-level patients. ICU experience preferred. \n
Additional Requirements:
\n- \n
- Strict 75-mile radius rule (must be 75 miles from facility based on driver’s license address). \n
- Driver’s license copy required with submission. \n
- Must be flexible for holidays. \n
- Natural hair color, no fake nails/shellac, no facial piercings, and no visible tattoos. \n
