Note: First-time travelers accepted with strong ER experience. Community hospital experience required.
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive emergency care in a fast-paced ED treating patients of all age groups. The nurse will manage acute and critical conditions, perform rapid assessments, administer emergency treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team while maintaining a 1:4 patient ratio.
Job duties:
Perform rapid triage and comprehensive assessments of emergency patients; administer emergency medications, blood products, IV therapy, and procedural sedation; initiate and maintain IV access and central line care; monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs; manage ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and emergency airway situations; care for trauma, stroke, psychiatric, pediatric, and critically ill patients; obtain and interpret 12-lead ECGs; provide patient education, maintain accurate Epic documentation, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality emergency care.
Requirements:
Licensure: Active Maryland RN License or Compact RN License
Experience: 2 years of ER experience preferred (1 year considered); Community hospital experience required; First-time travelers accepted with strong ER experience
Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIHSS, CPI
Other requirement: Experience with 1:4 patient ratios; Comfortable floating within specialty; Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Local Radius Rule: Local candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility unless the job posting specifically states that locals are accepted.
