• Location: Salina, Kansas (zip 67401)\n
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract\n
• Healthcare Setting: Birth Center (Labor & Delivery), occasional Mom Baby unit coverage\n
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:00am)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required\n
• Unit Details: 8-bed LDR with OR and PACU, Level II NICU, 1,200+ deliveries/year\n
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250/week\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience\n
• Active Kansas or Compact RN License required\n
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)\n
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR (required)\n
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)\n
• Must reside at least 100 miles from Salina Regional Health Center\n
• Professional references required\n
• First-time travel nurses considered\n
• Previous employees of Salina Regional Health Center not eligible\n

\n\nLabor & Delivery RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for laboring patients, including high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum management\n
• Perform sterile speculum exams, non-stress tests (NST), oxytocin challenge tests (OCT), reflex checks, and tele interpretation\n
• Utilize internal and external fetal monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and labor management protocols\n
• Provide newborn care, including neonatal resuscitation and assessment\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, rapid response)\n
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the birthing process\n
• Accurately document care in Meditech EMR\n
• Float to Mom Baby unit as needed\n
